GOGOSHA OPTIQUE: Frame of the Day
Collection: Anne et Valentin
Series: Factory
Origin: Toulouse, France
Designer: Anne Valentin
Frame: Factory Four
Color: 808
Material: Milled Acetate and Monel Alloy
Why we’re loving this frame: Inspired by the era of Avant Garde creations from Andy Warhol’s Factory; glance and this frame may seem familiar but look again and the truly inquiring eye will discover that ‘familiar’ has been turned on its head… the usual perfect polish of acetate has been strategically milled to create shadow and contour. The temple’s metallic detail is created by tumbling the Monel alloy, adding further layering and interest to the discerning observer.
The Factory series of frames are a subtle statement in subversive sensibilities and individual aesthetic.
Wow… now that’s one pretentious sentence - good job the eyewear is not!

GOGOSHA OPTIQUE: FACE OF THE DAY: CHAD ROONEY
INTRUDER! INTRUDER!! (((INSERT EARDRUM SHATTERING ALARM HERE)))
Chad entered the store, he moved with the direct kinetic purpose of a boxer - ala Russell Crowe in LA Confidential - Dropped a wry smile and uttered in a cool, calm chandleresque voice, “I’m looking for new frames miss, you seen any around here”.
The sultry owner took him in, scanned his features sizing up her mark, “I think you just may have stumbled into the right joint sweetheart!” She wiggled her hourglass over to a display case, slid the draw open revealing her gems, her hands traced over the merchandise, hovered and then snatched up a frame — “For a guy like you it’s gotta’ be the INTRUDER”. They caught each others eye, the coy smiles spread like warm butter on a hot breakfast muffin —
The music suddenly changed, snapping them from their mean-moody-magnificent-noir-monochrome back into the sparkling-Californian-summer-technicolor — “I’ll take them!” roused Chad.
They simultaneously grinned, then headed for the cash register.
Ok — so maybe it didn’t happen like that, but this is LA, we make it up as we go along; but we doubt Chad will be denied entry to any speak easy or gin joint in town or even the Mos Eisley Cantina with his ultra modern Titanium ORGREEN: INTRUDER: in Colour 112.

We stray form our regular format, for this is truly special.
For the first time on US soil, we introduce the Mykita Elliot, Hector and Rolf in three limited edition Flash colors: Red, Yellow and Grey. It’s hard enough to keep the amazing classic colors in stock, but these Flash coated colors are just too tempting to resist.
Mykita is renowned for its’ innovative screwless hinge design and fashion forward shapes, now they add color to their typically minimal and understated palate. Exclusively at Gogosha Optique.

Faces of the Day: TEZIRA NABONGO & Cabbage Patch Tezira.
BFF!! While she fights for the ‘GROWN UP’ rights of others by day, by night, Tezira heads home to reconnect with her inner child; in her case the catalysts are a quirky pair of THEO: SEPTEMBER in color 212 and a glass of wine with a childhood friend — just remember that friends don’t let friends drive drunk, especially if they are two feet tall and stuffed with foam and memories.

Face of the Day: Sandy Sathapornwonokul
Sandy and I have kindred spirits, each can out-talk the other and both have a passion for eyewear. In some circles Sandy is known as the paycheck fairy so why shouldn’t her glasses be as magical as her alter-ego. Sandy is wearing Kirk Origianls Kendo in H5 purple to blue fade.

Face of the Day: HENRIETTA MUSIC
Henrietta is a composer and worked in Music Production on TV shows such as The Bob Newhart Show and the New Lorenzo Music Show.
The many terms that musicians use to describe music can seem daunting, but there was nothing daunting about Henrietta and her new Cutler and Gross: 897: white , we call it a perfect harmony !

Series: 1980
Origin: London, UK
Designer: Oliver Goldsmith
Frame: Berwick
Color: Slush Puppy

GOGOSHA OPTIQUE: Frame of the Day
Collection: Theo
Series: Trente-age
Origin: Antwerp, Belgium
Designer: Patrick Hoet and Serge Bracke
Frame: Trente-six
Color: 246
Material: stainless steel
Why we’re loving this frame: Never known to take a trend to seriously, this tongue and cheek, wink and nod to retro frames of the late 40’s through 60’s has a familiar form with the volume on top and apparent semi rimless effect, but the double layered two tone stainless steel make this frame defiantly modern.
